A Common Question – Why do DJs cost so much?

A common question we hear about DJs is related to pricing. Why do you charge this when DJ “A” charges a lot less or why are you so much cheaper than DJ “C”.There are many reason for the price ranges. I can not answer why other DJ’s price the way they do. I can only tell you why our prices are set the way they are.

We have run cost projections and have come up with a number that allows us to continue growing our business while offering you a fair rate for the service. Our pricing model includes travel to your event, wear and tear on the equipment, the continued cost of updating our music library, business costs, insurance and our time.

A typical wedding requires thousands of dollars in equipment and about 15 hours of time when you include music prep, planning meetings and the event.

FAQ

Do you require a deposit? – Yes, we require a nonrefundable deposit of $150 to secure your date. We regularly receive multiple requests for a date. This deposit ensures your date.

When is the final balance due? – We ask that the final payment is made at our planning meeting 3 weeks prior to the event. It is perfectly acceptable if you would like to make payments or pay the entire balance before that meeting.

Do you have a contract? – Yes, all events have a contract that protects both of us. This contract is signed and accepted with the deposit.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept Cash, Check or Credit Cards.
